On 25 September 2015, the 193 Member States of the United Nations adopted the 2030 UN Agenda for Sustainable Development. The Agenda sets out 17 aspirational objectives, the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), associated with 169 targets, which will serve governments, international organizations, the private sector and civil society to chart the path of human advancement over the next 15 years.
